On Religion

Christian or Christlike

How do I show my faith in Christ as I live my life?
Do I carry his cross by loving others comforting pain and strife?
Do I exemplify what He taught in every thought and deed?
Showing love and kindness to all, their hungry souls to feed

To follow Christ is to do His work setting the example
Share kind words and offer help whether difficult or simple
Never scorn nor put to shame others values they hold dear
Show my faith and by my example my testimony share

Find no fault only good in others no matter how they differ
Even if they ridicule my values and all that I stand for
Turn my cheek when I’m offended or when I’m put to shame
Pray for those who hate me in His Holy Name

Being Christlike is not easy we must give up all
Become humble and meek like a child small
Confess our dependence on Him for our eternal lives
Seek the guidance of our Father to open up our eyes

To be a Christian is a title that anyone can claim
To be Christlike is to take upon myself his Holy Name
To make a covenant to bear the burdens of my peers
Show them kindness and understanding help to calm their fears

Our Beautiful Happy Grandson Bennett

It's true Grandkids are AWESOME.
It is so fun to have Bennett come and visit, he loves his Lola (Nery) so much and always smile for her. Dave and Catie are great parents and they are so fun to be with. Good job you two!!!

Our Motorcycle, Nery has named it "Burt"

30th anniversary

I mentioned in June that Nery and I would be celebrating our 30th annivesary. We spent our anniversary in Wendover, we went to see Crosby Still and Nash in concert. It was a very nice concert and quite fun to see these old rockers, but they still have it, it was a great concert. We also visited the Bonneville Salt Flats and took our van out on the salt. It was a sureal experience to drive where the fastest cars in the world have driven. We visitedBlue Lake where I scuba certified back when I was in high school, we also explored the desert and had a nice relaxing time together. Here are some pictures from our trip.

It's been a while

It is now October, in my last post we were excited to welcome our first grandchild and now he is here a bouncing healthy baby boy. Bennett Pilkington was born July 14th and we are loving being grandparents. Here Are a few pictures we have taken of Bennett.
