Friday I taught a class at Farmington Bay for Webelo Cub Scouts and took them to see the Eagles that are here in force now. After the tour Rich the Manager of Farmington Bay invited me to their annual barbeque to celebrate the end of the Duck Hunting Season and to share the ducks they harvested during the hunt.
I had only eaten wild duck once before and it tasted like muddy liver. But Rich has always told me if it is prepared correctly it is very good. Nery and I went with low expectations for the duck but figured the rest of the meal would be good. Rich was right the duck was outstanding as was all the rest of the food. The people that work for DNR are all great people and I always love spending time with them. The barbeque was great, the food was excellent and the people all made Nery and I feel welcome. Here are a few pictures, sorry I didn't get everyone's name.
